Dear Fellow Artist,

Another in a series of products from ArtLicensingInfo.com, Product Mock-Up Magic is the result of a combination of things:

• a skill I use regularly in creating art collections for licensing
  
• a concept I recommend artists know how to do when asked about succeeding in licensing and
• a question I am regularly asked. "Ok Tara, sounds like a great idea but how do I do it?"

So instead of each of us designing our own 'wheel' so to speak, I have had this concept in mind for over a year. Of course there are many other things in mind as well - the monthly calls, teleseminars and don't forget that I still create and license art as well.

It has been a process of stops and starts and I am THRILLED that they are done. Even more excited that it is a quality product I am proud to sign my name to.

For the Original Product Mock-Up Magic, I hired a professional photographer to teach me how to take great photos of white products in my light box. (No easy feat, let me assure you.) Then I took the photographs and got rid of all the backgrounds. Certainly much of the work in mock-up 'wheel building'.

After that life got in the way and the project stalled for a while. But as it often does, the question was raised by another artist so I decided it was time to work on the tutorials.

This time, instead of an eBook, I decided showing you how to do it with video segments was the better way to go. So I put my FlipVideo on the tripod, turned the computer to a hard angle for me to see and spent many hours filming.

Of course Mac decided to bring out a new operating system right after that, complete with the ability to do much higher quality screen recordings so I started again. :)

The end result is a very full CD - packed with 132 minutes of video tutorials and 46 high quality images - ready and waiting for you to apply your art. If it is well received, the next thing 'on my list' is to add "Photo Packs" with more products. Once you have the skills, you might as well have the pictures, right? But I won't get ahead of myself. Let's see how this goes first!

Well people really liked the original version of Product Mock-Up Magic so I decided it was time to add more to the mix.

For the Kitchen & Bath and Deluxe Editions of Product Mock-Up Magic, I got smarter and had the photographer join in the fun. Finding time at a premium, I decided to "Divide (the work). Conquer (the project). Share the Wealth! (With Bruce, who gets a % of sales) That way I could get the new products out and still keep up with my art - pretty smart, huh?

In case you skipped this part before, it is important to know that the tutorials focus on placing repeat patterns and borders on the product photos but you can use the same concepts for more illustrative art as well. If you don't know how to create repeat borders & patterns and save the patterns to the pre-set manager in Photoshop, I highly recommend you consider working through the Repeat Pattern eBooks before buying this product.
